Located in Charleston's historic district, this transformation
of an existing Hyatt Place into a boutique JdV by Hyatt hotel was anything but
ordinary. The highly customized renovation gave our team the opportunity
to collaborate closely with the general contractor, design team, and ownership
to bring the property's unique vision to life through statement millwork,
architectural details, and premium surfaces.
Five Star Architectural manufactured and installed the hotel's custom millwork package, including the front desk, market and coffee shop, bar, suspended metal-and-glass liquor shelving, decorative metal focal walls, stained wood paneling, and tongue-and-groove ceiling features. Each element incorporated a carefully selected combination of high-end wood species, architectural metals, and glass to complement the hotel's boutique character.
The Product Source manufactured and installed the premium quartz countertops throughout the front desk, bar, coffee shop, and market. The scope also included stone fireplace wall panels and countertops for the outdoor bar, creating a cohesive blend of materials across the hotel's interior and exterior spaces.
One-of-a-kind projects like this often present unique challenges, but they also provide the greatest opportunities for creativity, craftsmanship, and collaboration.
